“Mosaico di Mosaico” in Desenzano

On Saturday 15 September, from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm, the Roman Villa of Desenzano played host to “Mosaico di Mosaico“, part of the BIG DRAW Festival, the biggest drawing event in the world.

The founder and motor of the Festival is the charity organisation The Big Draw, but the myriad of entertaining and original drawing activities are the result of the efforts of hundreds of organisations which adhere to this event. The Festival, organised in Italy by the Fabriano paper company, promotes drawing as a life-changing universal language capable of uniting people of all ages, origins, races or religions.

The Big Draw is dedicated to anyone who loves drawing, including those who don’t think they know how to draw. It’s an opportunity to feel part of a global community celebrating the universal language of drawing. The Roman Villa has been selected as the official venue, and it invites all participants to join in “collective drawings” based on the figurative or geometric motifs present in the rooms of the Villa, completing the relative missing parts with full expressive freedom, under the exceptional guidance of the artist Renata Barilli, the botanical drawing artist (apertamentebotanicalart.blogspot.it). The event is aimed at children and young people, for whom it is free of charge, but also for adults, with an entrance fee.
